264 Caroline George

Region: Wallingford – South & Vale
Artform: Textiles
The world of textiles and fabrics can be a unique and captivating form of artistic expression allowing artists to create stunning works of art using fabric, yarn, and other materials.
Caroline uses mostly yarns, material scraps, lace, metals, broken beads and trinkets that are often doomed for landfill, making them into upcycled art. Her boho style wall hangings and bags are typical examples of what she loves to work on, incorporating tea dyeing, couching, embroidery, tassels and fringing creating visually rich and layered aesthetics.
Because boho style is so free-spirited and eclectic it alllows Caroline creative challenges that incorporate both artistic expression and sustainability. From mixing rich, vibrant and patterned fabrics to neutral, earthy and natural materials – there are no rules!
Caroline is exhibiting at The Cow Shed Collective, a fabulous antiques and crafts venue on the A4130, Crowmarsh Hill, just outside Wallingford. Open 7 days a week, with Caroline also present there Tuesday 13th and Thursday 15th She is also available by appointment. Do pop in for a warm welcome, coffee and chat, we’d love to see you.
