The Art Barns at Bernwood Pottery is presenting a curated exhibition showcasing an array of exceptional local artists. Set in the grounds of a charming farmyard, the two 19th century barns will hold a collective of artists specialising in ceramics, painting and photography while the central courtyard will provide a space for reflection and engagement.

ARTISTS:
Debbie Page OCG, WOA- Inspired by her love of the Korean Moon Jar, Debbie uses this form as a departure for her firing and glaze studies. She is constantly experimenting with raku and other low firing techniques including recently work with natural dyed pigments.

Elizabeth Murphy – Her work is characterised by the transformation of thrown vessel forms through applied texture and layers of glaze. Inspired by nature these sculptural works are canvases to explore narratives woven with threads of history, literature, music, nature and the human condition.

Georgina Weston – An award-winning photographer who specialises in equine portraiture, Georgina aims to capture the spirit of the animal and the special places they hold in our hearts. There will be a selection of mixed media pieces that celebrate the wisdom and magic of the natural world.

Kate Webber – Kate creates pottery with intricate details that captures a sense of whimsy. Creating both collectable and functional work, her pieces are marked by texture and depths in glazing.

Kerry Spurry WOA– Kerry is a designer and creative polymath whose work ranges from upholstery to ceramics. Her stylish ceramics explore the female form fashioning narratives around these figures. Her works are functional and sculptural additions for the home and garden.

Mark Fennell RBSA, OAS – Mark is a portrait and landscape painter working predominately in oils. An elected member of Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, Buckinghamshire Art Society and Oxford Art Society, his work has been selected for the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Royal society of British Artists.

Rita Rattray – Having careers in both archaeology and in music, Rita infuses her pieces with themes of art, music and history. In her practice she explores forms with surfaces that are characterised by layers of colours and experimentation with glazing techniques.
