I make vessels and tableaux using found wood, cloth and willow. The notion of the ‘boat’ gives me a platform, where I can express theatrical and poetical ideas. All spheres of entertainment can suggest something to me with words like flight and travel always present in my mind. The results are dynamic objects allowing the viewer freedom to make their own interpretations. In assembling the pieces, the ways of attaching, decoration and suspending are integral to the finished object.

I shall be demonstrating my ‘How to make’ kits - circus characters and animals, a sort of 3 dimensional sketching.
