I’m a maker. I like getting my hands dirty and manipulating all kinds of materials to make beautiful and intriguing things.
Over the years I learnt to use silver, glass, wool, silk and clay to meet my need to create, but only after I had finished my ‘real’ work. I took a decision in 2018 to make it the ‘real’ work and am now part-way through an Art Degree at Cardiff Met. ‘Artist, Designer, Maker’ is a 3D course that allows me to continue playing with ‘all the toys’.
My use of processes and materials is continually evolving and expanding. I’d like to be able to remain adaptable and fluid in my approach to producing work. Inspiration can come from anywhere. My intention is to take my creative self more seriously, to give her more time and space to play and learn. To bring pleasure, or better still to spark joy in others is a happy bonus.
This is my second year of participation in Artweeks and I'll be showing both 3D and 2D work.
