Exhibition information
I will be exhibiting with Art Transplant in Appleton again this year (formerly Peach Croft Farm Barn artists).
My exhibition in Appleton will be a mixture of my 3D boxes, with all different subject matter (some Mexican inspired pieces, some beautifully colourful birds and some that have just been a mind dump) and some etchings I have recently done of birds that I see in and around the Cornish coast and Bodmin Moor. A new venture for me but a fun diversion.
My work is generally created with papier mache, wood, clay, wire and fabric, each one generally takes a month to create, a labour of love but I love it.
I will be exhibiting with 10 other artists, so lots to see and we are serving tea and cake throughout the week.
Artist information
I live in Cornwall on a small holding with numerous dogs, chickens, and a Steve. I still have many connections in Oxfordshire and this year I will be exhibiting again with Art transplant, formerly Peachcroft Barn Artists. I am very lucky to have a lovely studio in our front garden which I spend a lot of time in, especially as it doesn’t seem to have stopped raining for the last 3 months in Cornwall so nothing else to do.
Originally creating works of art on lampshades I now create mixed media boxes. I love all things Mexican, don’t know why, never been there. I love bright colourful things and corvids. I generally create things that just come in to my head, not always a good thing. I organise a couple of exhibitions a year in Blisland in Cornwall and am part of Artchums (3 artists that do pop up shops). As well as Oxford Artweeks this year I will be exhibiting in Brighton in June and September.
