Artist information
Hello and thank you for taking the time to find out more about me, my art and what inspires it.
I've lived in Oxfordshire for most of my life, apart from a brief spell living Hertfordshire many years ago. I grew up in Radley and now live in a hamlet just outside Abingdon. I'm a wife, mum, daughter and now a grandma, so family life comes first, but painting is a passion that has a strong grip on me and it's my outlet for creativity.
I only started painting a few years ago, quite by accident, and realised very quickly how much I loved it. I'm mainly self taught, but being a member of local artist communities has been so useful in my art journey. I am a member of Abingdon Artists and Faringdon Art Society and exhibit with these groups a few times a year. I sell my art via local exhibitions, my website and Instagram. If you would like to know more about my art, or see particular pieces, please do get in touch with me.
Thank you.
Trish
Exhibition information
I have a passion and yearning for the sea, open wild spaces and big skies.
As you can see from my online gallery, my inspiration comes from a love of the sea, sky and the natural world around us. In particular I have a love for the Cornish Coast and The Scottish Highlands, both places resonate with me because of many a childhood holiday in Scotland and in more recent years, frequent trips to Fowey in Cornwall.
My art is mainly abstract using acrylics, watercolour and texture. I paint instinctively and intuitively. I paint from my emotions, and how how a piece makes me feel is the most important factor for me.
