Exhibition information
My practice explores energy fields and portals which exist both in cosmic space and in biological space. Common themes in my paintings will be circles, doors, and horizons. I also love to explore how life feels from another perspective, and often I will have multiple moons or other celestial objects present in my artwork. I draw influence from Vedic Scriptures and read books by Carl Jung and other authors who explore Vedic philosophy through a psychologist’s lens. Through this work, my artwork is also a wish for the viewer to grow and see the bigger picture of our being.
Linked to my Inner and Outer Portal series is my newest series called Mother Earth, where I explore the ground we are all born from, which feeds us and nurtures us, but is also vulnerable.
This year I am delighted to be part of the Artists in Woodstock group, where I will be exhibiting my “Inner Outer Portal” series. The series explores transformation, transcendence and opportunity through forms found within us and beyond earthly horizons. My work will be at St Mary Magdalene Church during North & West Oxfordshire week, from 9–17 May. Opening hours are 10am–6pm (Sundays from 1pm, Wednesday from 11am). Also look out for my window display around Woodstock.
My solo exhibition will take place at The Curtain Shop, Summertown during Week 3, Oxford City, 16th to 25th May 2026 where I will also be exhibiting my Inner Outer Portals paintings, along with my newer Mother Earth Series of paintings.
Artist information
I’m a contemporary abstract artist, and my paintings explore the meeting point between science, spirituality and nature. I paint in oils and acrylics to build layered, dynamic compositions that reflect my fascination with balance, connection and the unseen structures that shape our world.
I’m particularly interested in the idea of intrinsic and extrinsic energy fields and how opposites interact. In my work, these elements move toward each other, circling and transforming, creating a sense of rhythm and equilibrium.
Creativity has always run alongside my scientific life. My background is in science, where I’ve worked across a range of clinical areas and developed a deep appreciation for complexity, systems and discovery. Those ideas naturally feed into my visual language. I’ve also studied at the KLC School of Design in Chelsea, which helped me refine my artistic and design sensibilities.
Holding a PhD, I’ve never felt that art and science should exist in separate worlds. For me, they’re simply different ways of exploring the same questions. Curiosity, intuition and analysis all belong to the same process of understanding the world around us.
In the past year I have exhibited in Mayfair, Hackney, Shoreditch, Northamptonshire and Trowbridge. I was named finalist for the Daler Rowney Artweasels Prize.
I work from my studio on the Cotswolds border, set within an orchard and fed by a natural spring well. The quiet rhythm of this landscape influences my practice and keeps me connected to the natural environment that inspires much of my work.
