An exclusive selection of Tina Mohindra’s photography and paintings will be exhibited during Oxfordshire artweeks at The Spice of Life group exhibition in Summertown. A selection of original works of art, signed prints and cards will also be available.
See life through the lens of Tina Mohindra’s vision and camera: painting & photography, a celebration of life in pigment. An exploration of joining areas on the canvas through the use of submerged hues, and experimental abstract forms.
Spontaneity is important to her, so the vibrant paintings use carefully selected colours from oils, watercolour and acrylics to create both still life, and abstract art. Often, colour isn’t captured in her photography, in order to deliberately evoke the imagination of what the full picture might be. “Tina’s eye for detail and hues, produces a marriage of form and colour in both her abstract work and her still life pieces.” Every painting is created to the sound of ambient music which develops and deepens the art form.
Tina is also a microbiologist who worked on the Covid19 vaccine at The University of Oxford. “I believe that art and science amalgamated, is what brings about the beauty in life, whether it be a person, plant or landscape. Careful attention to small detail is a skill essential to both science and art. I have always had a fascination for the natural beauty of life, which I believe is reflected in my artwork.”
