Exhibition information

Hand stitched textiles using layers of vibrant silks, cotton fabrics and threads, based on figurative, natural and abstract themes. Wherever possible I try and use recycled fabrics, mainly Indian cottons and silks. Colour as always is central to my textile work, which is always hand-sewn. Most of my pieces are layered wall-hangings using thin fabrics sometimes hand-dyed and bonded together. I then work into the fabrics using a wide variety of stitches and yarns. I also enjoy making smaller pieces that can help make textiles more accessible.
