After studying painting at Chelsea Art School, I went to Oxford as a language undergraduate and spent most of my spare time in the Ruskin School of Art. One of my great pleasures in that period was driving from London on the old Oxford road, through delightful villages such as Turville. Many years later, as a television director of numerous Midsomer Murders, I found myself shooting sequences all over South Oxfordshire - in Watlington, Turville, Long Crendon, Pyrton, and many other highly engaging locations. Now, retired from the world of film and television, I have turned my attention more and more to painting, which is what I have always so greatly enjoyed.
I have painted in London, Australia, France, Germany, and Cuba, and now I have returned to Oxfordshire.
