Artist information
My Lovely Postcards is a vibrant community art exhibition and auction dedicated to supporting Sobell House Hospice Charity through Beth’s Bursary Fund. Established in memory of Beth Foreman in 2017, the bursary provides essential funding for nurses to pursue further education and training in palliative care, ensuring compassionate support for patients and families.
Sobell House Hospice has been caring for adults in Oxfordshire living with life-limiting illnesses and supporting their loved ones since 1976. Every year, Sobell House cares for over 4,000 patients and their families, helping patients to live well each day and die with dignity while surrounded by the people they love.
Sobell House Hospice provides compassionate, dignified care that is tailored to each individual’s needs. Their expert staff take the time to understand every patient, along with their family and friends, offering support through what is often one of the most difficult and painful experiences they will face. With a focus on the present, the hospice is dedicated to making every moment count. By enhancing patients' quality of life, Sobell House aims to give them more time to create meaningful memories with loved ones and engage in what matters most to them. The hospice helps individuals celebrate milestones, maintain independence, and even fulfill significant life events such as weddings.
At the end of life, Sobell House supports patients in living their final days according to their wishes, striving to provide a peaceful and dignified passing surrounded by those they love.
