Exhibition information

I work in both both 2D and 3D. My paintings are mixed media but mainly watercolour, pens and ink. I love painting found wooden objects (from antique and charity shops) such as boxes, candle sticks and pictures frames and the finished objects are influenced by my love of colour and folk art. I also transfer imagery from my paintings to create 3D versions of the art. My style is very illustrative due to my back ground in design and is influenced by nature, pattern, symmetry and the thousands of photos of flowers I have taken over the years.

Artist information

I am a graduate in Art and Design (Jewellery Design and History of Art) from London Metropolitan University, although back in the 1980’s when I was studying this was the famous Sir John Cass School or Art renowned for its jewellery courses. I have worked in both art and design over the years but never as a commercial artist, painting and design are my all consuming hobbies! I have worked in magazine publishing and in art galleries over the years but my other great love, sport, is where I earn my living and I have been in charge of a company training people to be Tennis and Padel coaches for over 10 years now.
