For Oxfordshire Artweeks I shall be taking a break from exhibiting from home, instead showing work with the Botley Life Drawing Group and Artsauce, as follows:
Botley Drawing Group - Venue 167 - https://www.artweeks.org/v/botley-drawing-group
ArtSauce - Venue 237 - https://www.artweeks.org/v/art-sauce
My work considers memory, experience and mutability. In particular I am inspired by landscape (both natural and human), by industrial history, and also by music and literature. Principally I work in drawing and in mixed-media sculpture/3D, often land-based using found materials and created in or for locations that resonate with me. By combining the systematic and the poetic, I hope to reveal moments of insight, experience and reflection, especially in overlooked or unconsidered places.
My work has been shown in many of Oxfordshire's major exhibition venues including Modern Art Oxford (MAO), The Old Firestation (Oxford), OVASA (Oxford) and the Cornerstone Gallery (Didcot) as well as many appearances in Oxforshire Artweeks. In 2020 my drawing "Timelines" was shortlisted for the prestigious Trinity Buoy Wharf, and I have also exhibited as far afield as Dundee, Bournemouth and Liverpool. I am a member of the Oxford Art Society, the Portable Collective, and ArtSauce.
