Exhibition information

I love working in mixed media, found objects and textiles and I sometimes incorporate free machine embroidery somewhere along the line.

I am fascinated with layers and textures and the way different mediums can be combined, often with surprising results.

I enjoy free machine embroidery and collage and as I never quite know how my work will turn out, I allow it to develop organically.

Most of my pieces are slightly wonky and quirky and I like nothing better than to find or reuse something and turn it into something else. I print many of my collage papers and textiles and use them to create unique one off pieces.

I am inspired by many things including the natural world and particularly by the juxtaposition of shapes and patterns forming an abstract of the familiar.

I have a particular fondness for the shape and form in plants and trees and I work from my summerhouse studio in my garden.

Artist information

I’m an Oxfordshire-based artist and maker working from my summerhouse studio at the bottom of the garden.

I specialise in mixed media, found objects and textiles and often incorporate free machine embroidery somewhere along the line.  I am fascinated with layers and textures and the way different mediums can be combined, often with surprising results.
