Artist information

I studied fine art at Newcastle University and gained a PGCE from Homerton College in Cambridge. I have worked at St Edwards school in Oxford and the Perse school in Cambridge. I have collaborated on various community projects and worked in schools as a visiting Artist. Currently I am teaching at an art studio Middle Aston and I also run private art lessons for adults and children at my home studio in Woodstock.

Exhibition information

I am predominantly a landscape painter and work en plein air to create small studies which then I develop into larger paintings. I work in mixed media and have created collage of many shops and buildings in Woodstock and Oxford. I am happiest with a pencil or paintbrush in my hand to capture everyday life, a quote from Pisarro which sums up my work is “Happy are those who see Beauty in normal things where others see nothing”

I am part of Artists in Woodstock, we are a group of local artists who create a wide variety of Artworks in various mixed media from Painting and Collage to Ceramics, Textiles, Printing and Sculpture. Artists will be exhibiting in St Mary’s church, Woodstock and in shop windows around Woodstock town centre to create an Art Trail. Come and be inspired!

Venue Address: St Mary Magdalene Church, Park Street, Woodstock, OX20 1SJ

Opening Times – 17th-26th May 2025 10am – 6pm (Weds from 11am and Sundays from 1pm)
