Artist information
Liza is primarily a photographer but also loves to enhance her original photography with other mediums to give one off contemporary pieces of art work.
She is inspired by her background as a punk rock bass player back in the 1980’s and hopes that this comes through in her style of art.
Her main love is to photograph the streets, working with the light, the contrasts, the obstacles and the people who are going about their lives.
It’s a question of being on the ball, observant and thinking on your feet!
She particularly enjoys creating abstract images that still maintain a sense of the moment caught by her camera, but by working on top of the prints, she aims to add texture and colour that really gives an atmosphere of a vibrant, messy and busy urban life.
Liza enjoys spending hours on the streets, hiding in corners of small cafes, drinking coffee and eating cake, with her camera always to hand. She has a messy studio/office at home, where she works on images whilst listening to loud music which the whole street can enjoy!
Exhibition information
This collection of work is based on street photography from all over the world.
The images are enhanced with the addition of various art mediums used after printing the original photographs and working on them to give each one an individual finish.
It concentrates on the pandemonium of the everyday, busy urban lives of people and the wonderful architecture that surrounds them.
The aim is to capture moments and the atmosphere of the chaotic cities we live in, sometimes in quite an abstract way.
