My interest in digital photography began during a month-long camping trip round Southern Africa in 2007. Hoping to capture a range of subjects including plants, insects and landscape as well as the astonishing variety of wildlife and bird life, I took an early bridge camera with an 15x zoom.
Returning home with some images that pleased me, I brought also a burgeoning sense of how photography can interpret and reveal as well as record.
I still love to travel, and my interest in photography has helped me chose destinations within the UK and beyond, and to see and understand them more clearly.
I currently enjoy working with detail, with abstracts, and with the opportunities offered by monochrome. I am a regular exhibitor with Oxfordshire Artweeks (www.artweeks.org) and my 2023 exhibition will reflect these interests.
