Laura Hodgson is an expressive multi-media artist who creates work in response to place. Current work explores traces of time and existence. Locations chosen for their rugged qualities, sense of light and exposure are inspirational starting points. A variety of media is used to explore the spontaneity of mark making that strives to communicate the pace, flow and movement witnessed working outside. Communicating this experience to others is essential. The conversations that take place through the handling of her weathered sketchbooks are a vital part of her development.
