Artist information
Having tried many styles my particular interest is exploring abstraction, especially the liminal boundaries it can expose. Experimenting with various mediums and processes to express the unseen and what we feel. Having lived around the Chilterns all my life, I never walk there without that sixth sense of something else happening there whether past, present or future. It is that which I seek to capture rather than providing a figurative representation. I love bold shapes and colour observed from the landscape and exploring the human response to them.
I also love the drama of monochrome derived from manipulating charcoal, paint, ink and collage to make something mundane become something extraordinary.
I am delighted to be exhibiting for the first time at Oxfordshire Artweeks with 5 other very talented artists at Caroline Busby's studio and gallery. I am an emerging artist myself and work as 'Mangoes for Breakfast'. Take a look at my website to find out why! I am currently studying at West Dean College near Chichester. I look forward to meeting you in our friendly exhibition space.
