Artist information
Kate has always been creative and has increasingly immersed herself in the world of ceramics over the past 10 years. Kate studied BA Hons. Metalwork & Jewellery Design and worked at Oxford University’s Pitt Rivers Museum for over a decade.
Kate feels most content when creating 3-D objects and after the rigidity and precision of silverware, clay has allowed her more freedom. She aims to create desirable objects that people adore for their sense of whimsy, colour and texture. This year she will exhibiting a range of ceramic planters and garden sculptures.
Exhibition information
The Art Barns at Bernwood Pottery is presenting a curated exhibition showcasing an array of exceptional local artists. Set in the grounds of a charming farmyard, the two 19th century barns will hold a collective of artists specialising in ceramics, painting and photography while the central courtyard will provide a space for reflection and engagement.
