My work revolves around recycled textiles and other media, including jewellery, beads, and clay. It could be titled Lost, Found, and Unwanted, as most of my work has given a new lease of life to fabrics gathered from wonderful people and places.
Most of my artwork has an interesting story to tell about either where the materials came from or the picture itself.
The collection is full of colour and texture, capturing scenes of nature or bringing faces to life.
In producing my work I follow a very organic process and let the textures and colours dictate the flow. I find this approach really satisfying and hope that you will enjoy coming to see the results.
Experiencing life has inspired me to look deeper into re-using and up-cycling items in a creative way. Focusing on making use of interesting materials, using a bit of imagination, and experimenting with many different techniques, enables me to create my art.
