My exhibition this year focuses on woodlands throughout the seasons.
I walk in my local beech woods a lot - its good for the soul and they are just beautiful; whatever the weather.
I have tried to capture what I see and the changing seasons.
Expect a display of colour and see interesting ways of applying paint and pigment, to represent the majesty of the forest.
Hello, I’m Jo - I live in South Oxfordshire and I love to draw and paint striking landscapes and animals. I often add more colour to enhance a scene, or bring an animal to life. My aim is to create interesting art, that brings joy. It is available as originals, prints, cards and cushions and I happily take commissions, for a truly unique piece of art.
I work mainly in acrylics and pastel, enjoying the variety of techniques that can be employed with each medium. In particular, I like to layer up thin layers of translucent paint to make interesting pictures with depth and combinations of colours. I do the same with pastels, liking definite marks and layers rather than a blended look.
I sell my originals, prints and cards in local galleries, shops and at fairs throughout the year and my studio in Woodcote is open but by appointment only.
