Artist information

I am an emerging and very excited new artist for whom discovering art has been life changing.I have always loved being in Nature and now combining my love for nature with developing art techniques has been a genuine delight for me.

The sky at dawn and dusk and when a storm is building are particular inspirations in my art work.

Now with more time for myself I am able to enjoy exploring what is possible in art. I began painting late in 2023 and quickly became immersed and following some tuition and lots of support from my family and friends have just started to exhibit locally.

Exhibition information

Mixed media approaches and a variety of tools including rags, sponges and scrapers help create texture and merge colours in my art and I enjoy creating large scale abstract landscapes.

My work is inspired by Nature and also by artists both current and past. I admire the drama in the landscapes by JMW Turner and the use of light and dark in the work of Kerr Ashmore and Neil Nelson. I love the colour and passion in Andrei Protsouk’s work and the energy conveyed in the work by Jackson Pollock. I value the wealth of creativity in art and love to see how artists can merge colour to show the power and beauty in nature.

My visits to art galleries seeing new styles and approaches play a big part in the development of my art work.
