Exhibition information

My work begins with colour and shape. I love how they blend, clash and sit beside each other to create something new and unexpected. Some of my paintings explore strong women through form and dress. These figures carry confidence, resilience and presence, reflecting my own journey towards feeling stronger in the face of life’s challenges. Other works come from feelings rather than images. They explore the search for light during darker times and my attempt to understand and make sense of difficult periods in life.

Together my paintings are about discovery – through  colour, through strength and through the search for light.

Artist information

I work in mixed media, using brushes, sponges, rags and scrapers to create layers, texture and varied marks. I paint in a range of sizes, from small to intimate pieces to larger works where colour and form can develop more freely.
