Artist information
I am originally from Istanbul and have been living in Abingdon since 2021. With a background in Mathematics Engineering and a master's degree in Information Technology in Design, I have spent my career working as a software engineer while nurturing my passion for photography and digital art.
I have taken courses in art history, which have deepened my understanding of visual storytelling and composition. My work is often inspired by everyday life and the balance between individuality and shared human experiences. Through my lens, I explore themes of solitude and connection in urban life.
As a wife and mother of two, I find joy in capturing fleeting moments that reflect the beauty and complexity of the world around us. I use a Sony A7C with various lenses to bring these perspectives to life.
Exhibition information
As a photographer based in Abingdon, I have been capturing the world through my lens for the past five years. My work explores the delicate balance between nature and urban life, focusing on the unnoticed moments that reveal deep connections between individuals, environments, and time itself.
For Oxfordshire Art Weeks, my exhibition presents a selection of wildlife and street photography. In my wildlife images, I seek to highlight the quiet yet profound narratives within nature—birds in flight, shifting landscapes, and the ephemeral beauty of the wild. In contrast, my street photography is a study of postmodern society, where fragmented lives, shaped by technology and modernity, expose an underlying sameness in human experience.
Through my photography, I aim to question the illusion of individuality in an era of hyper-connectivity and emphasize the subtle patterns that connect us all, whether in nature or in the urban sprawl.
I will also be updating this space with other exhibitions and photography-related events I participate in throughout the year.
