Exhibition information

During lockdown I discovered  ‘Drawing Cabaret Couture’ an artist led on line platform and enjoyed drawing fashion for 3 years culminating in going to London Fashion Week in 2024 to draw there. After an MA in Drawing (completed 2015) I drew  live dance in Swindon and London culminating in setting up a drawing project for other artist with the Luke Brown company which we called Bodies in Motion. Since then I have also been painting and drawing en plein air and I continue to make woodcuts at Oxford Printmakers Coop. 

Artist information

I studied for a  Painting BA  at Cheltenham College of Art  1992-5 after a year spent on the Oxford Brookes foundation course. I followed this up with an MA in drawing from Oxford Brookes 2012-15.  However my first degree was in the History of the Greek Language at Birmingham University in 1970s. As a musician I was able to study teaching and take up a job teaching violin for the Oxfordshire County Music Service whilst studying art part time and keeping up my Modern Greek skills. Now I am able to work on my 3 loves – art, music and Greek, which sustains me a lot.
