Exhibition information

I have selected these 12 paintings to exhibit.  I have selected my favourite and most recent works from seascapes to floral and abstract floral/landscapes.  These paintings give an all round representation of my work.  I have various painting sizes and prices. My inspiration for the seascapes began at a young age while living on the West Wales coast. I love movement, colour and texture in my work and the sea is a perfect subject for this.  My floral and abstract floral paintings have been a central in my work for over a decade.  I love using flowers and nature as a starting point in my work.  The colours, shapes and textures of flowers inspire me to see beyond the flower itself.  I use the shapes and motion to create a finished image that shouts out to the viewer to take a closer look. I work in mainly acrylic paint, I love it’s fast drying properties and various ways it can be used.  I use brushes, palette knife, sponges, fingers and also drip paint directly onto the canvas. All my work is painted intuitively.  I do not draw on the canvas or plan how the finished painting will look, I let the painting reveal itself to me.
