I came to pottery through photography, life drawing and sculpture. I love the tranquility of the pottery process and the alchemical mystery that happens in the kiln. I am also loving the freedom that has come with my recent purchase of my own electric kiln.

My pots are all individually hand built using pinching and coiling. I have been experimenting recently with mixing clays - white stoneware, porcelain paper clay and a black heavily grogged clay - stretched to produce a textured surface. The pots are decorated with slips and oxides and clear glazes.
