I am is a Fine Artist based in Oxfordshire. I have a BA Hons in Graphic Design and Illustration and a former Head of Art.
I am now developing my own work. I am so delighted to showing my work for the first time at the Esquires Coffee, Graven Hill road,Bicester. Painting is a journey of exploration and who knows where it will lead. I work mainly in oil and acrylic on canvas. My interest centres around abstract expressionism, with figurative elements. I focus on the interplay of colours to generate balance, space and energy.
I enjoy the tension between expressive brush strokes and harder edges, drawing with the paint brush and taking some measured responses. The aim is to keep life and vitality in the work.  The intersection of colours and the resulting added energy is a motivational element. I enjoy the unexpected that happens during painting.
I respond to being in nature, florals and the positive impact it has on the body and soul.  It is the act of painting that influence my choices.
Design and balance are important aspects of my practice, reworking and balancing colour hues and areas of rest within the work. Line, shape, colour, work together with freshness and vitality.
