Artist information

Originally from Northants, David now resides in North Oxfordshire working as a professional artist and tutor. Having received no formal training, he has proved to be very versatile relying on his artistic talent and ingenuity, gained from over 40 years of painting.

His originals and prints are now eagerly collected by UK and overseas visitors. His success has led to his paintings being in many private collections in this country and abroad.

His work can be found as far afield as America, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia where his watercolours of the Oxfordshire countryside have become renowned for their pleasing and professional appeal. Having previously been commissioned to paint several Royal Palaces David has also produced spectacularly detailed presentations in watercolour of many historic and majestic buildings which form the dreaming spires within the city of Oxford. Much of his work has been published as greetings cards as well as open and limited prints, many of which have been presented and dressed in his own constructed frames.

David has supported many local charities such as the ‘Seesaw’ Children’s Bereavement Charity, Bicester Autism, and is currently working with the Launton based Hummingbird Centre. David continues to teach and advise several local paint groups in and around Oxfordshire, regularly attending Oxfordshire Artweeks, and is looking forward to exhibiting during Artweeks 25 both as an independent artist and as a regular member of the Bicester Art Network.
