Exhibition information

Daniel is very interested in ideas relating to place and time, underpinned by a passion for contemporary and modern classical music. His drawing-led practice spans a wide range of media. It is characterised by free mark-making, underpinned by motifs from maps, plans and photographs, and informed as much by musical influences as by the visual arts. It is closest, perhaps, to a visual proposition for a new musical improvisation.

Artist information

Daniel’s first degree was in photography (Polytechnic of Central London, 1985). He subsequently had a career in public service, including senior roles in arts, libraries and cultural services. Returning to visual art in 2014, he undertook a range of short courses in painting at Central St Martins School of Art and more recently two year long programmes in contemporary practice at City Lit. Covent Garden. Please see website for selected list of exhibitions etc.
