Exhibition information

I warmly welcome you to my barn studio this May to enjoy my new collection of oil paintings. Many are landscapes painted in and around the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside inspired by familiar views, shifting light and the changing seasons. My work is characterised by a colourful, impressionistic style painted quickly to capture a moment in time. This exhibition also features a series of still lifes, celebrating the colour, form and beauty of flowers, fruit and every day objects. I hope my paintings will take you away to a happy place and feed your soul with colour. Each piece is carefully framed and hand painted to compliment the artwork but they are all available framed or unframed as you wish.  There will be printed cards available too. I am delighted to be exhibiting along side fellow artists Deb Sutcliffe (artist no. 59)  an accomplished printmaker whose work has been selected several times for The Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition and and also talented ceramicist Sarah Keogh showcasing many of her beautiful handmade pieces (artist no. 58) .

Artist information

I live in South Oxfordshire with my husband, 2 teenage boys and a dog. I have a background in wine but rekindled my love of painting 15 years ago and now wish every day could be a painting one (and a wine one!). What I choose to paint is what makes me happy; my favourite views, landscapes, the seasons, nature and the countryside. I also paint still lifes at home in my studio if the weather doesn’t tempt me outside. I find joy in colours and how they sit together and always strive to create art that I’d like to hang in my own home. I love the versatility and buttery feeling of oil paint but also sketch in pen and watercolour and recently I’ve taken up pottery, another past love! My art is often spontaneous so I rarely know where my next inspiration will come from. I love the process and also sharing what I do so I look forward to chatting to you in May!
