Exhibition information
Trained in science, I have a background in Zoology and completed a PhD at the Marine Biological Association in the UK. Self-taught as an artist, I have continued to nurture my passion for creativity alongside my scientific research and my more recent career in life sciences recruitment.
My work is strongly influenced by animals and marine life, reflecting a lifelong fascination with the natural world. My portfolio focuses on animals, seascapes, and natural environments, and I enjoy working across a range of media, including oil and gouache painting, lino printing, and etching. Etching is a particular passion, as it brings together technical process, experimentation, and creative expression.
Art has long been an essential creative outlet for me, providing space to explore ideas beyond my day-job while remaining closely connected to nature.
I will be exhibiting my work during Artweeks for one weekend only, on 16–17 May, at Cassington Village Hall. This beautiful, light-filled venue in the heart of Cassington will showcase the work of three other talented artists, and I am delighted to be exhibiting alongside them.
