For over 45 years, I have pursued my passion for illustration, having drawn daily from a very young age. My journey led me to specialize in botanical and scientific illustration, where I immersed myself in nature, contributing to numerous prestigious projects, including journals, books, floras, and scientific papers for esteemed institutions like the RHS and Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. I was very proud to receive four Gold Medals for my scientific work during this time. I am now Head of Design at a renowned Prep school which fits in with family life but continue to find solace and inspiration in my beloved Rotring pen, creating illustrations of my second favourite subject after nature – food.
Inkyjinks, a slightly whimsical venture, initially conceived for a bit of fun in 2017, began with drawings of cheese, however, it has evolved into a thriving enterprise, with my foodie illustrations now making their way to food festivals across the UK and gaining popularity worldwide through online platforms - and they are so much fun to draw! I am also currently completing an MA in illustration with the plan to return to full time illustration once the kids have flown the nest!
