Artist information
Breda is a painter inspired by nature and the creatures within it. She finds it joyful when she sees the animals and birds coming to life on the paper or canvas. She started painting and doing creative courses about 9 years ago as a hobby /relaxation but it wasn’t until she reduced her hours at work 5 years ago that she found the space to explore her own creativity.
She likes to paint in acrylic, watercolour, mixed media and more recently soft pastels. She also likes to explore other mediums, for example, using gouache to resist Indian ink and gel printing to make her work less predictable and hopefully more exciting. Her choice of medium depends on the subject she wants to paint.
2 years ago, she joined a wonderful long-standing art group at Piddington, Oxfordshire where she enjoys painting alongside other very inspiring artists. She exhibited her work at Piddington for the first time in 2024.
She is currently doing the mastery course with the Milan Institute with the goal of be a professional artist. Fundamentally her priority is to continue learning and enjoying her new found love for art in her retirement.
