Artist information

Aysegul Tekun is a self-taught artist who recently discovered a passion for drawing and painting. She started her art journey with pencil drawings and watercolour paintings. Since then, she has been exploring and enjoying different techniques and styles and currently her artwork focuses on abstract paintings in acrylic.

Aysegul’s style of work can be described as “Joy of Free Spirit” as she loves using vibrant colours and metallic elements in her abstract paintings. In her watercolour and acrylic paintings she shows the beauty of the Nature.

In her pencil drawings she chooses reference pictures which speaks to her heart and tell her meaningful unspoken stories. She is concerned with issues in relation to mental health and she tries to express these elements through her art.

She describes Art as a “Magical Power” which gives joy and happiness for both artist and audience and helps with mental well-being.

Aysegul is originally from Edirne, Turkiye but currently lives in a beautiful Market Town Buckingham in England.
