Exhibition information
My work centres on peeled cardboard and other modest materials, using texture as a way to explore the emotional terrains that live quietly within us. I’m drawn to layered structures, exposed edges, and the marks that echo erosion, repair, and the soft negotiations of the inner self. Much of my work touches on inner dialogue, the emotional patterns we carry, and the quiet shifts that come with personal growth — expressed through subtle, tactile marks rather than overt symbolism.
Through a process‑led approach, I let the material guide the direction of each piece, following tears, rhythms, and textures as they emerge. Working with texture continues to fascinate me; it offers depth, dynamic form, and a tactile language for expressing what often feels unsayable. My practice is an ongoing conversation between material, gesture, and the internal states that rise through making. It’s a way of giving form to what is usually felt rather than spoken.
Artist information
I am a mixed‑media artist drawn to humble, tactile materials and the quiet interior states they can hold. My practice is rooted in slowness, noticing, and the subtle emotional shifts that sit beneath the surface of daily life. Alongside my studio work, I facilitate gentle, explorative workshops that invite people to reconnect with their own creative rhythms through simple materials and open‑ended play. I also offer private and corporate art sessions shaped to the needs of each group. At Ayres House Studios, I work as one of the associate coordinator, supporting our creative community through thoughtful organisation, member care, and shared projects.
