Exhibition information

My practice centres on exploration and play, working in acrylics, mixed media or watercolour I am drawn to colour, pattern, and texture, building layered surfaces with paint and paper to capture a fleeting moment in time.

Inspired by the natural world and the everyday objects around me, I find beauty in unexpected places and ordinary items. These observations become starting points for pieces reimagined through collage, layered marks, and expressive colour.

Each painting is its own journey. I embrace layering, spontaneity, and surprise—allowing the work to evolve through curiosity and discovery. Every piece is a learning curve, an opportunity to experiment, respond, and grow through the act of making.

Artist information

I am a painter and mixed media artist whose work is rooted in a love of colour, pattern, and experimentation. After spending several years abroad and dedicating time to raising a family, I have returned to my artistic practice with renewed focus and energy.

Originally trained as a printed textile designer, my background continues to influence my approach to composition and surface. The language of textiles—layering, repetition, and decorative pattern—remains central to my work, often informing both my choice of materials and visual structure.

I enjoy exploring a variety of mediums and subject matters, allowing each piece to develop through curiosity and creative discovery. My practice embraces experimentation, combining painting and mixed media processes to create work that is both expressive and richly layered.
