Robyn is showing her ceramics in the heart of Summertown, with two other wonderful artist-makers: painter Harriet Eagle and jeweller Zanna Rand-Bell. We are surrounded by very many other venues showing a great variety of art, to make a fantastic day of your visit.
Robyn Hardyman works with porcelain, making functional and decorative wheel-thrown vessels – bowls, vases, jugs and more. Elegant and balanced shapes define the pared-back simplicity of her work. She is drawn to porcelain’s delicacy and strength, and the pure surface it offers for glazes. Her pieces are thrown to a thin and delicate finish, and she relishes exploring glaze colours and textures that complement the simplicity of their forms. Her colour palette is cool, blues, greys, pale greens and creams – calming and harmonious.
Robyn's work is shown in galleries and at fairs around the UK. She is proud to be a Selected Member of the Craft Potters Association and a member of Contemporary Applied Arts, both based in London, as well as of Design Nation and the Gloucestershire Guild of Craft.
Later this summer she will be exhibiting at Potfest Compton Verney 21-23 June, Celebrating Ceramics at Waterperry 19-21 July, and Potfest in the Park 26-28 July.
