And here it is - or the draft, at least!
The striking oranges on the front of the 2015 Oxfordshire Artweeks festival guide have been drawn by botanical artist Dianne Frank, who will be exhibiting in Hayward Road, North Oxford (venue 277) with ceramicist Tam Frishberg and jeweller Jane Hainsworth.
Dianne, a member of the Society of Botanical Artists, draws fruit, vegetables and flowers, working in coloured pencil. “Although I work in pencil, my aim is to create 'paintings'.” says Jane. ‘To achieve this I lay down numerous layers of different coloured pencil, blending and burnishing the pigment into the paper to create a paint-like finish.’
