It's September and that means preparations for NEXT year's May festival - yes that's May 2019 - are getting underway and it's time to buy your 2019 diary. Here in the Artweeks office the choice of a new desk diary with glossy pictures accompanying each week-to-view is a pleasurable task of no small importance. What have you gone for?

And once you have the crisp clean pages, what could be lovelier than writing in the Artweeks dates: 4th-27th May 2019. During that first week, 4th-12th, 200 art spaces across the city of Oxford will welcome you in. The second week, 11th-19th May, will take place in South Oxfordshire with venues along the Thames from Faringdon to Henley and the Ridgeway from Wantage to Thame, and during the third, 18th-27th May, you can visit beautiful North and West Oxfordshire where venues can be found nestled from Burford and Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds across to the historic market towns of Bicester and Banbury. And for artists who live or work in Oxfordshire or those who are members of Oxfordshire based groups, it's time to get planning! Once venue details are organised, you can now register at www.artweeks.org/artists . There's no time like the present!

And talking of presents, there's a rather big landmark in the calendar between now and May, twinkling towards of the year in red, gold and green. Yes, it's the Christmas Artweeks Season when more than 50 venues across the county open their doors and invite you in to enjoy handmade delights and unique gift ideas to make any stocking bulge. What's more, you'll probably be offered a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie. You can browse here or download the leaflet.
Happy Christmas!
