My artwork has been in a graphic style in the past. I have enjoyed experimenting with different materials and techniques which I used screen printing, ink washes, stencils in the past. I still do love experimenting using all sort of tools and mediums. Time stops still as I get totally absorb in what I am doing.
Since the coronavirus pandemic, life for all of us has changed and the future is unknown to us. So I self-isolated in my studio and created, experimented, and generally played with all types of materials and mediums. I've really have pushed my boundaries. I've explored mark making by using various mediums such as inks, charcoal, acrylics even metallic paints and using unusual tools even a bit of old scarring pad. I felt liberated to do whatever I pleased, so some of the artwork is very loose and free.
I created these small sketches with paint, inks, charcoal, penciles as a starting point then continued to experiment with colour and composition using different tools. I have enjoyed the process of being lost in mark making and colour.
