Sadly I can't meet Artweeks customers this autumn, watch them fall in love with a stone or piece of jewellery, hear about the special occasions they are buying the jewellery to celebrate or just chat about gemstones and fossils - all of which I am definitely missing. If you would like to discuss a piece of jewellery with me and find out a little more about it, I am happy to have a no obligation web chat instead (I'm embracing all this new technology!) - just contact me to arrange a convenient time. I will be posting Christmas gifts out until 19th December so plenty of time for Christmas shopping - why not have a look at some of my gift guides here https://www.sallyspencer.co.uk/ourshop/cat_1670110-Looking-for-a-gift.html .
Obsessed with jewellery and gemstones, I have been designing and making jewellery since 1995, creating individually designed and made jewellery items. My collection of unusual gemstones and fossils provides inspiration for my contemporary jewellery pieces, some of which are one-off designs because of the individuality or rarity of the stones used.
My love affair with gemstones started when I was small, spending many happy hours on the beach collecting pebbles and investigating rockpools. The stones may have become more expensive over the years but I am still fascinated by them. As a gemmologist I am proud to be a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, in addition to holding their Diamond Diploma, and continue to enjoy studying the science of gemstones as there is always more to learn!
Teaching both silver jewellery making classes at JASSO and gemmology courses at various locations allows me to share my passion for what I do.
