Digital Craft Festival 27-29 November 2020 https://www.digitalcraftfestival.co.uk/
I'm one of more than 150 makers from the UK and Europe taking part in the Digital Craft Festival which has collaborated with leading national craft organisations and inspirational craftspeople to create an immersive weekend that will include: meeting and buying from the makers in a wide range of craft disciplines, in-depth conversations in videos and online live chats, master maker demonstrations, workshops, films, children's activities and more. The programme of live events is available on Zoom and can be booked now. https://www.digitalcraftfestival.co.uk/
Oxfordshire Crafts Guild Winter Exhibition 14 November-9 January
The OCG's showcase Woodstock Christmas Exhibition has this year gone online at https://www.gallery.ocg.co.uk
Innovation and diversity in design and craft are just a click away, so do visit to see the range of beautiful work produced by members of the Oxfordshire Craft Guild. I will be there with my ceramics.
Both these events are free to everyone, wherever you are, and are the perfect places to pick up personal and meaningful handmade presents from the comfort of home.
I studied ceramics in Oxford part-time for 3 years before setting up my home studio.
I throw only in porcelain as I love its combination of delicacy and strength. I aim to combine beauty with function in quiet, thoughtfully made bowls, cups, jugs and vases that can be enjoyed by being used every day. My work is often inspired by the classic shapes of oriental ceramics, but it has a contemporary feel. I relish exploring glaze colours and textures, and finding a variety of surfaces that complement the simplicity of the forms.
All the pieces are fired in an electric kiln and are food safe.
Pieces are usually available in any of my 4 or 5 glazes, and in other sizes, so do ask me.
For sales there is an online shop on my website www.robynhardyman.com or DM me on Instagram @robyn.hardyman
If you are local and the regulations allow, I can set up a display in my airy kitchen if you'd like to come and choose a piece in person.
If I can walk or cycle to you I will deliver (roughly within the Oxford ring road) otherwise I will post or you can collect from Summertown.
