I continue to work largely in porcelain. This year I have quite a few new designs and on older ones have altered the decoration significantly. My work is influenced greatly by animals and the natural world around me. Most work is slip cast.
In late November I will be exhibiting at Art at Christmas, this year will will have a new venue at the Community Centre in Summertown.
By training I am a paper conservator and went to Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts but in the last 10 years have gone back to ceramics after a very long break. For three years I studied at Oxford and Cherwell Valley College and I continue to go to classes, with ceramics you never stop learning. With an interest in slip casting I have also learnt a lot from Sasha Wardell. I either use moulds I have made, usually of animals or form a caste on a plaster lathe .
