I would like to extend a warm virtual welcome to you all.
The IS&D Display for Oxford Arts Week (North) 2020 was due to set up in the garden of the Queens Head - Queens Street Eynsham, but oh how things have changed.
IS&D is continuing with the preparation and finishing of a range of new pieces isolated within their remote workshop, upon lifting of restrictions and terms of assembly it is the intention that these will be positioned along side previous display pieces in the garden of The Queens Head for the Summer, so if your ever in Eynsham and would like to see what IS&D is all about or fancy a drink then please call in and “Have a Look”
Peter Shrimpton (IS&D)
Having completed an apprenticeship as a heating engineer and welder in the late 70's I have always had an interest in working with metal it its various forms.
It is from this interest that I have assembled a wide range of Sculptures and images that take the form of either functioning heat emitters (radiators) Cacto Rad, Cheese and Crackers or larger Contemporary Sculptural pieces; Poppy Large, Poppy Small, Mr Whale all pieces that would grace a large open space or backdrop.
To promote my work I have been participating in Oxford Arts Weeks for the past five years and have found it to be a rewarding experience, meeting not only a wide range of fellow artists from differing backgrounds and mediums but also members of the public, its most enlightening to hear what they say about not only my work but other fellow entrants that they have seen in their annual sojourn "In search of Art".
