The wonderful collective of artists WOCArt were going to exhibit together at WOCA. Focusing on the theme of identity. However, CV19 has physically stopped us and also made me think differently. I have also been running a Virtual Home Clay School for the kids locked down on our street, so slowed my own production. However, virtually we are up and exhibiting so please have a look at our work in the below links. If you are interested in buying any of my pieces or asking for a commission, contacts below.
"Each piece is different, satisfying curious hands and eyes, adding to the moments of your day."
There is something about handmade pottery that hooked me into making it four years ago. I went to nighclasses and my addiction grew. Soon I was converting the garage into a studio, saving for a wheel, a kiln and believing in Kiln Gods. I still have the day job but my passion is definitely making, failing and learning with a lump of clay at the wheel. It is a great therapy that I encourage you to try. Today I make cups, bowls, jugs and vases for everyday use. At the moment I am enjoying contrasts in colour and texture, probably influenced by the contrasts in society and identity we are currently going through. Enjoy.
