I am a member of Leamington Studio Artists and volunteer at East Lodge in Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa. I have exhibited as part of their Open Photography Exhibition for the past two years. I have been part of 'The People's Gallery' at the Photography Show at the NEC in Birmingham for the past three years. Two of my photographs were part of Fujifilm's 'Print Life' exhibition at Truman Brewery, London.
Recently I've exhibited my linocut prints at LSA Summer Open exhibition - August 2019, Coventry Printmakers exhibition - September 2019 and Temperance/LSA Open Exhibition - September 2019.
Unfortunately exhibitions have had to be cancelled this year.
A print-creator of the everyday world around me. Enjoying the combination of photography, linocut and handmade books.
I live in Warwickshire near the borders with Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire, although I may be far from the coast the travel links mean that many parts of the country are within easy reach.
I take photographs everywhere, whether I’m at home, walking in the countryside and coast, or exploring a city. I’m constantly drawn to landscapes, structures, details, and ever-changing light and shadow. My linocuts are based on my own photographs and bring the textures and shapes into a different type of print, allowing me to get my hands dirty. After an intensive course in bookbinding I was inspired to use my photographs as book covers, integrate my love of patterned papers and create handmade books.
