I've always enjoyed drawing - ever since my school days. Once I retired, I took art classes to build on this interest and develop my skills in painting. I've concentrated on watercolour, pen and wash and more recently gouache.
My subjects are landscapes often involving buildings, street-scenes and railways. During the past two years I've produced a number of paintings in gouache inspired by pre-war railway posters. This theme has given me a chance to try a different medium and use bright colours as an alternative to my watercolours.
I am a member of Wallingford and District Art Club and West Ox Arts.
