Like everyone else my Artweeks exhibition is closed this year because of Covid 19. I hope to open again when it is all over. I will miss meeting everyone who comes to look at the pictures and sit in the garden. I will especially miss my opening morning of sharing chocolate brownies and Welsh cakes. However, my stock of paintings is building up as I take my daily walk round The Kidneys. I take my sketch book with me and several pictures are growing in my mind.
I am a self taught painter using either oil or pastel. Most of my life I have worked from sketches and the image in my head, but recently I have done more plein air, especially at Elder Stubbs allotment where I have had a plot since 2002. I enjoy sketching the people working there too, and painting the squashes, onions, and other things I grow.
