Graeme is a retired architect who, after 40 years in pratice, is returning to painting and drawing; at the moment using chalk pastels as a way of making large gestures on paper where, at the moment, limited space is available. My images are generated as a response to the colours, patterns and emotion of landscape/seascape, which, under skies and horizons, generate the horizontality generally in my work.
I have been an active participant and committee member of the Society of Artists in Architecture (www.socaa.co.uk) for over 30 years, and the Young Gallery Members support group in Salisbury (www. younggallerysalisbury.co.uk). I ran weekly life drawing sessions in the gallery in the evenings, and have presented one evening lecture on Abstract Expressionism, and have a CORVID postponed lecture on Pop Art awaiting a new date.
Address - 18 Harbord Road, OX2 8LJ
